Multi-step Rich Tasks

These files each contain a series of activities where information from one part of the problem may be needed to solve a subsequent part of the task. Teacher notes are on page two of the file. Some photos and web links are included with some of the files to support background information for students. I have reorganized the page to cluster those tasks suitable for 3rd or 5th graders. With number adaptations, these could be used with 4th or with 6th graders. With any of the materials published on this website, adapt these materials to fit the context in which your students live. You know your students best. These are meant to be collaborative-based, language-rich experiences, not individual assignments.  So sit on your hands and bit your tongue and let the students work. Productive struggle is good.
